Thornline Trousers

Thornline places a long rose vine down the left leg, with ivory petals, pointed leaves and narrow branches that travel towards the hem. Small red stars interrupt the vertical drawing. A separate crescent and red star sit on the opposite leg, giving the design a second point of interest while leaving much of the black surface clear.

The catalogue image shows a relaxed, wide-leg outline and full-length hems. The vine stretches with the shape of the trousers instead of forming a boxed patch. Larger roses sit between the thinner thorn lines, so the illustration has a clear rhythm when viewed from a distance. The deep black appearance keeps the pale drawing legible without adding bright blocks of color.

A plain black tee lets the vine read as part of one dark outfit. Try an ivory top for a sharper contrast, or use a shorter outer layer so the top of the rose drawing stays visible. The crescent on the right leg makes the design work from more than one angle. Simple footwear keeps attention on the long artwork near the hems.
